## Summer camp for ⏎ adventurous boys

 Camp La Junta has fostered self-confidence and independence in boys for over 90
years, but as you can imagine, their digital presence has not exactly kept up with
the times. Enter GLIDE. It was our job to capture the pure exuberance that comes
with camp in modern website form. Let’s jump in.

## **Built to feel like camp**

Every great website starts with great visuals, and Camp La Junta came to us with
a goldmine of them. From day one, we had a library of happy camper photos and the
promise of new video footage to come. That gave us the freedom to design an experience
that let their authentic media shine. The homepage opens with a “life at camp” montage,
setting the tone immediately. Video in a hero section isn’t always the right call,
but for something as immersive and emotional as summer camp, it helps you feel it,
not just read about it.

We also knew the site couldn’t feel overly slick or sterile. With 90 years of tradition
behind it, Camp La Junta needed a design that honored its legacy while staying easy
to navigate. We used wood textures and playful fonts to bring out the personality
of the place, then paired that with a clear, visual layout that guides both campers
and parents to the info they need. Structurally, it’s one of the more complex builds
we’ve done, but the end result is a site that feels warm, authentic, and built to
last.
