A leading authority and advocate for child literacy, Maya Smart offers research-based insights and practical tools to promote family literacy, learning, and connection. She already had an incredible vault of resources but needed a space to share news of her upcoming book and speaking events, and was seeking advice on a better way to present her invaluable literacy advice to her audience. But design isn’t just about looks. We aimed to balance visual flair with sophistication to support Maya Smart’s research-rich content and establish trust with visitors. From the homepage to individual resources, every detail was crafted to reflect both warmth and authority. > GLIDE and their services are exceptional. One of the top goals was to reorganize the site so parents could quickly find what they need. We focused on intuitive navigation with rich dropdowns and clearer content categories to support that journey. While the front-end experience feels seamless, a lot of thoughtful complexity is working in the background.
