In the case of Nixon, a long-term investment firm, they’d been able to get by, to this point, the old fashioned way—business cards and PDFs. However, over time, it became apparent they were missing out on the credibility that comes along with a carefully crafted, well-designed website. You don’t have to look far in the primary navigation to find the info that matters most. Visually, we use color blocking and fine lines to establish a timeless quality that pairs nicely with the long-term nature of what they do. A good first impression goes a long way. Simplicity never goes out of style, but a bit of movement can really augment a clean design. Animations are like punctuation at the end of a sentence or the right emoji following a text. Balance is key. Too much may distract from the message, but the right amount makes it memorable.
