What We Did
Not to brag, but we’ve come up with kind of a cheat code for helping more and more people. The secret is working with organizations that have a tremendous capacity to affect change. By funding and disseminating research that improves outcomes for millions of students, The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk is doing their part. Our job was to build a digital presence to support their mission and make it easier for more people to access the troves of valuable information they’ve collected.
The Meadows website serves two primary functions: 1.) Showcase their mission and 2.) Organize an immense catalog of resources, projects, and academic research. With over 1,000 pages of content, we knew it would be the second challenge that required the most focus. We started by using the navigation to show primary content types, then made sure to be selective with filters on the list pages. The result is an intuitive structure with a clear hierarchy of information.
Personally, at GLIDE we think even a table on a website can, and should, look beautiful. That said, it’s the design choices we made on key marketing pages that set the tone. Inviting imagery of students welcomes visitors into the site, while soothing colors and playful patterns round out the visual language. Academic research deserves a fun, fresh feel.
