What We Did
The Soundwaves Art Foundation donates 100% of the profits they make from their incredible, custom artwork to charities that focus on the world’s most pressing issues. Building them a new e-commerce website that supports this powerful mission and increases sales is exactly what we look for in a new project. That included advancing our own skills by building on an increasingly popular e-commerce platform that is not WordPress.
What we learned
We always recommend solutions based on client needs, not personal preference. For Soundwaves, we felt Shopify would serve their shop management and user experience requirements better than WooCommerce or any other platform. We leveraged the experience of various team members that have managed Shopify sites in the past and challenged our design and dev teams to execute a custom build that could handle surges in activity when new artwork drops. So far, all the important metrics are pointing straight up.
