What We Did
When the team heard we were working with the H.E. Butt Foundation, everyone geeked out for a minute. ‘We go to H-E-B all the time’, was a common refrain. However, some of us were not as aware of all the wonderful non-profit work the family does for people through the H.E. Butt Foundation. The online home for their various charity endeavors is what we were brought in to work on.

What we learned
One of the primary goals of this project was to reduce inconsistencies between program sites and make long-term maintenance easier. We expected some overlap in design styles, but started by doing a full inventory of what made each site unique. From there, we made intentional choices about what to keep, consolidate, or redesign. Once we had a clear map of all the pieces in spreadsheet form, we moved into design with confidence and clarity.
They gave us an incredible thoughtful proposal and stuck to it. They communicated clearly and regularly. They delivered on time. What else needs to be said?

Because many of the programs center around camps and retreats in scenic Texas settings, we leaned into natural photography to ground the experience. Each program also had a signature color, which we used to give each layout its own identity without losing cohesion. Small UX touches like playful rollovers add personality, while the clean, bold design keeps the experience unified and accessible. With everything now live and working together, the end result feels polished, purposeful, and true to their brand.
